Jen McNairy, a Dallas, Texas based designer, recently opened a new design business with her daughter, Rylee McNairy. We were thrilled to get the chance to find out more about their new venture, MC Studio, as well as some of their design trend predictions for 2023.
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about your business?
A: I began my career as an Interior Designer here in Dallas and eventually ventured into the trade side of the business. After years of gaining experience managing a showroom, I was finally ready to take a leap of faith and open up my own studio alongside my daughter, Rylee McNairy. Having that experience working within both sides of the business, it has helped me create an environment that is not just a showroom but also serves as a design studio for our clients. Our goal is to cater to all designer needs whether that be upholstery, case goods, fabrics or wallpaper.
Sarreid was one of the first companies I knew we had to have when we opened up MC Studio. They offer so many beautiful styles of furniture with incredible craftsmanship and our designers truly love this line as much as we do. Our showroom will continue to grow and evolve and we are thrilled that Sarreid is on this journey with us!

Q: What is your target market?
A: We cater exclusively to trade designers and design firms around the country and we carefully curate pieces sourced to fit their clients needs and style. We are excited to keep building our clientele as we grow.
Q: We are predicting a Bold 2023 at Sarreid… What are the boldest design trends you are seeing for this year?
A: We are currently seeing a trend of vibrant jewel tones alongside bold patterns such as animal prints and abstract designs. Many people are scared of too much color but that is why we are here to help marry personal styles with current trends. For this reason, we have made sure to provide plenty fabric lines to choose from to ensure designers have lots of options.
Q: What color(s) are in for 2023?
A: We are seeing pink hues, green, orange and chocolate brown. Also, you can never go wrong working with all shades of blue.
Q: What is the best piece of design advice you can give?
A: Buy what you love but don’t be afraid to be bold and use color. Be your own trend setter!
Q: Lastly, what is your favorite “go to” Sarreid product?
A: There are too many to name just one! But, if we have to narrow it down I would say any of the Jupe tables, Shagreen pieces, the Suspension Console Table, the Classic Chinese Coffee Table and the Brighton Bamboo Dining Chairs.
