It seems we talk a lot about the preparation for High Point Market, but not about what happens post market. We share all of the behind the scene details of setting up the showroom and the hustle and bustle of being ready on opening day, but what happens when the doors close the last day? The days and weeks after High Point Market are busy spent following up with customers, finalizing orders, fulfilling in-stock orders and creating purchase orders for the market “winners.” You see, market gives us a directional sense of where our business is going by forecasting trends.
It’s been one month since Spring 2022 High Point Market and we are still reeling with excitement over reuniting with customers and friends and seeing the responses to our new introductions. In that time, we have developed a clear understanding of what is trending. If you are curious about what most designers and retailers were loving this #HPMKT see below.
1. Warm It Up
One of the biggest trends we noticed was the overall warming of color palettes. Sarreid has a long history of beautiful traditional brown woods and leathers, so we welcome this trend with open arms.
2. 3D Texture
Texture has been taken to the next level with three dimensional facades and the use of geometric patterns. Sarreid had some serious stand outs in this category.
3. Curves Continue
We started seeing curves make their way into the design world a few markets back and it doesn’t look like we are ready to put the brakes on the trend quite yet.
4. Organic Vibes
More and more people are choosing to purchase sustainably sourced products. This “need for natural” has been proven with the growing interest in our reclaimed wood pieces.
5. Stock is King
The question we heard the most during Spring High Point Market was “Is it in stock?”. For this reason, we curated an entire section of our showroom devoted to In-Stock inventory.
