We may be biased, but our sales representatives are pretty awesome. They share a wealth of industry knowledge that is only gained by years of experience. This is a loyal and close-knit team of professionals who want to see each other succeed and are quick to help one another. When one of our territories opened up almost three years ago, we took our time finding a replacement… as they had to be the “perfect fit.”
As soon as we met, Joan Harrison we knew we hit the jackpot! She jumped right in by getting to know the Sarreid portfolio and then hit the ground running in her territory, which includes Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, and western Pennsylvania.
While Joan has over 20 years in the design industry, she brings a fresh perspective to the team. Maybe that is because she not only sells furniture… she loves it! When we asked her what first drew her to a career in the home furnishing industry she replied, “My aunt was an Interior Designer and her home was gorgeous. I used to love to sleep over in the Periwinkle Room, and looking through all the glamorous fabric books.” Her love for all things design continued into her early adult life, according to Harrison, “In my early 20’s, I got a job at a furniture store. In addition to selling to customers, I designed the showroom vignettes. It was there where I realized the impact a beautiful environment will have on one’s mindset.”

That passion for beautiful surroundings combined with her industry knowledge, along with her bright personality made her the “perfect fit” at Sarreid. One of the reasons she was attracted to Sarreid was that she appreciates the long, rich history of the company and the original designs. When Joan isn’t on the road, she resides in Westlake, Ohio. She enjoys riding her bike, going for walks with her husband, and taking care of the neighborhood feral cat!
