When I was contemplating themes, topics and ideas for the April Sarreid blog, my mind kept wandering out the window and down the calendar towards the upcoming High Point Market. Those days have fallen off the calendar quickly and the time is now and of course we will be excited to see you, catch up on the details of life and business, all while presenting what will be an outstanding collection of new introductions from Sarreid.
Having been born in High Point as a member of the “furniture for life” club, my schedule has always revolved around the six-month market cycle. Twice per year our sleepy town would awaken, activities would become more and more focused until that special day when Market opened and what we had previously regarded as a busy pace became something closer to a fever pitch. In hindsight the opening day of Market is as exciting for me today as it was fifty years ago, and I pray that never changes.
In the coming days we will once again welcome you as friends and family. We will gladly share laughs, thoughts on business strategy and the latest baby or puppy pictures. While Market requires a great deal of effort for all involved, we at Sarreid do so with a tremendous amount of gratitude for you, our customer. Without you, there is no Sarreid.
Of late, the Sarreid team has completely reshaped our brand, our product offering, and our overall messaging. From my seat, there is nothing but awe and amazement for what the team has and will accomplish as we continue to grow and evolve.
When you arrive in High Point for Market, please know that we are grateful. Our singular mission as a team is consistent improvement in product, process and programs. We do not think that we will disappoint. So, get those comfortable walking shoes ready. We will be waiting for you on the third floor of the C&D building with a big smile, open arms and filled with the excitement that only Market can create.
