Last month, thousands of people flocked the streets of High Point, NC to attend the 2022 Fall High Point Market because, in our world, High Point Market is the equivalent of New York Fashion Week. It happens twice a year and the main motivation of the attendees is to see firsthand what is new and innovative in the home industry. This event predicts what will be trending the following year, and while we are not beholden to trends at Sarreid, we do like to incorporate pieces that can be mixed in with timeless classics.
The Sarreid showroom, which is located on the third floor of the Commerce & Design Building, was refreshed with new paint, molding, wallpaper and accessories thanks to the help of designer Mickey Sharpe. The front of the showroom was filled with pastels and light finishes and pops of pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. As you walked deeper into the showroom you felt the warmth of brown leathers and natural wood finishes. We could try to describe the entire showroom to you, but why would we do that when you can take a virtual stroll through it right now (in the comfort of your home or office)!

As always, it was an incredible week filled with inspiration. Reconnecting with old industry friends and meeting new customers are what motivates us most about market.

We have started a tradition of asking the sales reps to pick their favorite piece in the showroom and it is always fun to see what they gravitate towards…

The Oryan Chairs made a big impression on the Simcoe & Holbrook Team, who represent Sarreid in Arizona, Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. They love the luxurious leather and contemporary metal frame combo.

When we asked John Reid, who represents North and South Carolina, what his favorite piece at #fallhpmkt2022 was… he chose the Jacobean Mid-Century Egg Chair. Take a spin in this stylish and comfy Leather and Shearling Chair!

Can you tell how much John Anhut loved the new Dowry Equestrian Headboard at #fallhpmkt2022 ? John represents Sarreid in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee and knows a good design when he sees one!

When we asked our California representative, Pat Crane, what his favorite piece in the showroom was he went with the new Ernest Desk and we can see why! It’s made from gorgeous mango wood and iron, giving it a sleek industrial vibe.

Clyde Barnard (who covers Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas) chose the New Ryder Chair. Constructed of exposed, beautiful, perfectly finished Ash wood and covered in the boucle fabric of the moment, Ryder is ready to mix and match in any well-designed home.

When we asked Beth and Jeff Cousins, who represent North and South Dakota, Iowa and Nebraska, what their favorite piece for #fallhpmkt2022 was…. they picked the new Everett Sofa. Perfectly tailored black channeled leather and 96″ wide, no one could possibly miss this style!

When we asked Deborah Klein, who represents New Jersey and New York, what her favorite piece in the showroom was she went straight to the Bel Air Blue Leather Buffet. We agree Deborah!

Kurt Muller is one of our newest team members and represents Maryland and Delaware. He chose the new Cassino Lounge chair as his favorite piece at #fallhpmkt2022 . The rich leather and stainless steel frame along with the shape make this chair feel contemporary and chic.

Our Florida representative, Don Dilauro, loved the new Cambiare Dining Table at #fallhpmkt2022. This table is crafted in Italy and features an exclusive expansion mechanism. Cambiare when closed seats eight comfortably. When fully expanded this luxury statement table seats twelve with ease.

Stan Terry, who represents Illinois and Wisconsin, chose the new Eliana Bench. Elegant hand-hammered iron and luxurious off-white leather make this bench a show stopper.

Tony Martin, who covers Eastern Canada, Maine, Massachusettes, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Upstate New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont, had a favorite at #fallhpmkt2022 …. The Nolan Chair is a reimagined wing chair with exposed construction elements, nailhead trim and beautiful linen upholstery.
